Access ao nang
Ao Nang can be accessed by road, air and sea.  Those wishing to travel by rail will need to take a train to Surat Thani catch a bus to Krabi, and then a taxi or local bus to Ao Nang. By air Ao Nang is easily accessible with flights originating from Bangkok, Singapore (seasonal), Kuala Lumpur, Koh Samui & Phuket landing at Krabi airport, which is a ½ hour drive or taxi ride from Ao Nang. Krabi airport is currently being expanded to full international standard, with completion expected by 2006.  Flight times from Bangkok, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur are approximately 70-80 minutes. By Car it is a 2 hour drive from Phuket, or 8 ½ -10 hours from Bangkok depending on the route taken. Bus travel from Phuket takes approximately 2 ½ hours, from Bangkok 12 hrs, Kuala Lumpur 15 hrs and 23 hrs from Singapore. Phuket takes just 1hr 40mins by boat.
